I think this comment best sums up what I'm describing in the video Both cars have their strengths and weaknesses. Those looking for a more comfortable car tend to favour the MK8, often overlooking the good aspects of the Mk7.5, but hey everyone's opinions are different (which is fine) Congrats on the purchase, Steve! Hey Anthony, thanks for stopping by to watch and share your thoughts on the video & the Swift I can't see Suzuki producing any other variants of engine choice - as mentioned in other comment thread, I'm surprised to see Suzuki are still making the Swift with the way the car industry is crazily killing of the small car (thought we was all meant to be more environmental aware) But I'm hoping we see a Swift Sport arrive as the platform is great, especially the value for money too As I said in the video, the car is more of freshen up from the previous generation rather than a full redesign (again, the killing off of small cars) so it's the case of would you rather Suzuki kill the Swift off or continue to produce a small sporty car attainable for a larger mass of people? Hey Killian, thanks for stopping by the channel and watching! I understand your points, and I agree. I didn't feel like I was truly experiencing a new Swift, mainly because the car itself hasn't changed much apart from the looks and engine platform. The rest of the car really follows its predecessor's design. I haven't driven a 1.0 Boosterjet in a while (probably about 3-4 years ago), so I can't recall the engine characteristics for a direct comparison. On paper, it does seem like a step backwards. However, to Suzuki's credit, they continue to support (in my opinion) a very important automotive segment (small cars) while many manufacturers are going "green" by producing oversized, overpriced, and short-ranged vehicles. For existing owners of the previous Swift, I'd suggest holding onto their current car unless they need an upgrade and want to stay within the Swift platform. Again, appreciate your time commenting! Well I now have a M140i, so I'd probably edge more towards a M240i, a lot of car for the money along with a great platform for tuning and modifying with aftermarket parts Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

Fair enough, that's your view! A diesel no matter characteristics, it won't be as smooth as an equivalent petrol engine plus Audi did do a petrol version of the S5 in Europe (especially in the UK) Thanks for watching

I did indeed, mainly due to market being strong during "WokeDown" plus my PCP was up and was forced with mileage charges so managed to escape with positive equity too but then went mad and bought a M140i instead over a year ago now 🤣👍🏼 In hindsight, I prefer the 335d just a better all rounder apart from the missing sound/charcater I get from the 140 I'd personally still have a 335d over the Audi, more so the G80 340d (if budget allows) for you Thanks for watching

No idea, can't recall them having an Eco driving mode, it's more a menu to monitor how you drive Just toggle through your menu using the steering wheel controls to change the menu you want to view

They are programmed snap crackle and pops. A bit girly really. Not like the lean pops of old

Not everyone's cuppa of tea, but beats an EV for character 👍

As all I can say is Suzukis are known for their excellent reliability, so as long as you're buying a looked after example (full service history etc) it'll do the job of A to B absolutely fine Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

I agree no car is perfect, they all have flawes (no matter the age) but I understand what you're saying Problem is I felt it was getting to the point where things were likely to go wrong so didn't want to be stuck with something that doesn't get used loads and not be able to recoup money back

I agree, in comparison to a Porsche Cayenne or a VW Touraeg at a similar age, the ML isn't up to the task personally I only picked it up due to the rush for a tow vehicle (3500kg capacity) for my race car and the budget was sub £1,000 so didn't have much selection 🙈🤣 I'm surprised with the little rust on mine actually, considering this era of Mercs seemed to have been made out pig iron LOL Thanks for watching. @PocketRockets ended up in flames and being written off. Had an older e320 cdi before it with a power chip on it. Very fast for a diesel in its time. I recon the 270 would go just as well with one as it's the same engine with one less piston. Recently purchased an old l322 td6. It's a nicer car to be honest. I thought the seating position in the ml was awful but the seats were comfy. L322 seats you can get them just right. Thought saab seats were nice lol

@phillmcaverty It had bad chuffing (pointing to injector seal) so unbolted the engine cover to find probably the worse rocker cover on any ML suffering with Black Death 🙈 Wish I filmed it for this video, but hey ho! It did its job for me towing my race car but I felt it was going to soon turn into a money pit the longer I kept it Now need to find a more modern/reliable tow vehicle now 🙃

Heard of those talked about as European only model. Ford had MK6 ST shells/etc running in the Super1600 rally category which believe based on ST150’s but had to run super high rev 1.6 16v’s and rules of the time had to sell a base example via showrooms. Got many of that stuff sold Europe but not worth effort UK
